Najvažniji resursi u novoj ekonomiji su podaci (Big Data) koje organizacija posjeduje, no još je važnije da li iz njih i kako izvlače vrijednost. Data Science Economy 2018 međunarodna je konferencija koja pruža dublji uvid u poslovnu primjenu znanosti o podacima (Data Science) i odgovara na to kako postaviti strategiju za razvoj na temelju podataka. Treću godinu zaredom, 17. i 18.5. na jednom mjestu u Zagrebu, u HUB385, okupit će se više od 30 stranih i domaćih stručnjakakoji će,kroz praktične primjere, prikazati poslovnoj publicikako stvarati vrijednost i nove poslovne modele temeljene na ekonomiji podataka (Data Driven Economy).

With 25 years of experience as an enterprise architect, including domain experience in advanced aerospace and security applications, Mr Brancato is a standards author and insightful consultant. He has demonstrated strong engineering and applied math/physics capabilities in space and aviation modeling/simulation. He has had full-lifecycle software development roles, successfully creating solutions, traceable from business strategy to capability to complex, service-oriented applications. His architecture work is standards based: TOGAF, FAIR, CMMI, ITIL, et al). Today, he is the Chief technologist for Microfocus.

Mr Brancato earned a BS from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is a former licensed master mariner, having sailed for Crowley Maritime, Exxon, and the US Army globally. Work with clients to assure traceability from strategy to capability to services, with attention toward assurance of sensor, IIoT/IoT, control, asset/iWMS/PIM/BIM data to enterprise value. European union has enforced GDPR, a regulation that is standardizing data privacy principles for all organizations processing EU citizens personal data. The idea is to have the same rules when it comes to protecting EU citizens rights and to stop the uncontrolled exploitation of personal data. On the other hand we live in the time of data monetization and personal data has a real tangible value presenting an opportunity for all businesses collecting large volumes of (personal) data. The opportunity that is now erased by the new regulation, or is it?

At this very moment marketing all over the world is trying to find ways to cope with GDPR because business needs to keep on turning. In the same time people everywhere are feeling the effects of their data being used and abused by marketing experts who came to posession of their personal data without their knowledge, and it has to stop. Looking forward most of the countries in the world will adopt regulations similar to GDPR and the question is will that be the end of data monetization as we know it?

Marijan Bračić is the consultancy director in Poslovna Inteligencija, where he has been working for over 10 years. Since the completion of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb, he has been engaged in the field of data analysis, data management and data protection. He managed complex projects in the telecom and financial industry and worked as an architect on projects for the introduction of analytical systems and intelligent data protection. Today, he is the product owner of Poslovna Inteligencija’s GDPR software solution and is helping companies comply with GDPR.

Vuk is the CEO and co-founder of Oraclum Intelligence Systems Ltd, a Cambridge-based company that uses the power of social networks, machine learning, and big data to predict election outcomes and uncover patterns of consumer behavior. He holds a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics, in the field of political economy, BA in economics from the University of Zagreb, from which he graduated magna cum laude. During studies he attended summer schools at the University of California at Berkeley and at Harvard University and was a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, Clare College during the summer of 2013.
